How many of us can actually go on television in order to find ... ugh hmm ... true love? Well there is a reality series on now where you can try to find your true love, and you can be paid a large sum of money to do it. But putting all your business out there for the world to see could be a hindrance towards the future of how people see you. Or you could really find your true love! Imagine that!
I have only watched these episodes when they were in their first seasons, after that I became bored with the obvious staged scenes.
The show itself revolves around a single male or female and a cast of potential interests, usually about 25, which possibly includes a potential wife or husband. There are conflicts during the dating process, both internal and external, which end up with eliminations of contenders during the rose ceremony. The process culminates with visits to the contestants families, regular dates, overnight dates, and final meetings with the bachelor's family. In the end after all contestants are eliminated except for one, the bachelor/bachelorette proposes to his or her final selection. There have been seasons where there were no proposals and everyone went on their way, usually heart broken. Many cast-offs who were eliminated from the Bachelor and Bachelorette shows become the new bachelor or bachelorette for the next drama ridden seasons.
Hey to all you television broadcasters out there - We are on to you - these are so obviously hired actors and actresses...why do you bore us with this nightime silly drama - trying to get your ratings up?
